Premiere Film Festival
CLIENT: DePaul University
ROLE: Identity designer
Celebrating a beloved film festival’s 10-year anniversary
The Approach
DePaul University's Premiere is an annual film festival and awards ceremony showcasing student films in various categories. From modest beginnings in a small theater in Lincoln Park, the show now takes place at the Music Box Theater with hundreds of attendees. Present at the festival include industry insiders, acclaimed filmmakers, and festival programmers.
I had the opportunity to create an identity and marketing collateral including posters and programs for the 10-year anniversary. Additionally, the identity I developed was used as reference for the show's motion graphics and keynote design.
PRIMARY SKILLS:
Print design
Branding
Graphic design
Typography

It was important to me to design bold, graphic, celebratory pieces that highlighted students and their work through bright color and hierarchy of information. Everything centered around the 10, or X, theme and an orange/pink color scheme, which was visually much different than previous years.
